Our language courses
Using a task-based approach, our morning classes foster the development of listening and reading comprehension, oral and written expression, interaction and mediation skills in real-life communicative situations, in Spanish. All our programmes include a social, cultural and intercultural component, as we believe this is particularly important for language learners.
Our Spanish for specific purposes classes focus on the selected programme subject (business Spanish, the media, Spanish literature, the socio-economic structure), while our intensive courses prepare students for a year of study in Spain.
But we also go a step further, including task-based learning sessions in the city guided and facilitated by a tutor. This gives students the chance to interact with native Spanish speakers, assess their learning and experience Spanish in meaningful, real-life contexts such as participating in business meetings, going shopping, renting an apartment, booking a trip, attending a job interview, organising an event and dealing with administrative procedures. Tutors are always on hand to provide feedback, guiding and facilitating student learning.
At weekends, we organise unforgettable activities throughout the province of León, giving students the opportunity to chat with native Spanish speakers, visit stunning places and sites of outstanding beauty, taste some of the province’s delectable wines and discover more about Spanish language and culture through a unique experience of learning and tourism in Spain.
